R8 V10 vs used Murci

I realize that the cars are somewhat different, but with the present economy, I can get a 2004 Murci, with low miles for the same $ as the R8 V10 is projected to cost. As I wait with my deposit placed, I can't help but ponder this question. Opinions?

Hmmm easy one , if you have the money to maintain the Lambo....

Also if you waited until you could actually have an R8 V10 ( unless your on the waiting list) they will be even less.

04 Murci's could be found with diligent reasearch for much less than the 180k projected MSRP on the R8 V10. Personally I think your question should be should you get an r8 v10 or an 05-06 roadster or 07 lp640. The lp isn't quite that low yet, but some have been around 200k and if you keep looking by the time the r8 v10 releases you could potentially get one at 180k. In which case I'd get the lp, but you should drive both and see which fits your needs.

Also remember, unless you are good friends with the dealer you won't be getting the R8 V10 for MSRP.

Depends on your use for the R8, while it looks nice and is not a common car, the presence of a Murcielago whether a earlier model or LP is something to behold.

Do your research and talk to the right people you can find a no story earlier M car for less that the cost of a R8. Why wait when you can have your fun now, and 2 more cylinders

I'd say to go with the Lambo.

But I'd imagine the R8 to be more daily driver friendly if you're gonna be using it for that purpose.

In this economy, yes you will.

I would take R8 V10 over a pre-LP Murci.

Depends on how you would use it, IMO.

Daily driver: R8
Sunday drive: Lambo

I can't speak from experience, but I think if you DD a Lambo all those little quirks will grow tiresome. On the other hand, its an emotional event that I don't think the German can match.

I'd buy both!

Audi dealers all over are offering the R8 V10 for MSRP. I know, I am at the front of the line for one.

They have not officially announced it yet, but they have suggested it will $50K more than an R8.

I don't care if the Audi has the steering feel of holding the tie rods in your hand. The weight of a 111S and the power of the Veyron, it still is not the emotional and visceral experience a Lamborghini will provide. Lets face it when you wake up in the morning and open your garage door which one is going to make your day?
