love it great upgrade, love the car. it took me until the month after my 30th birthday to buy my first exotic lol. i am the same as you, pretty obsessive about my car especially since it is my first exotic. enjoy it with great health.

Congrats man, it's refreshing hearing about a young guy who busted his *** to achieve his goals, and rewarded himself in a way that he deserved. Your enthusiasm is infectious, I'm gonna have to get a G-car sooner than I planned, hehe.

First of all congratulations.
I was wondering, what's it like on longer stretches (in terms of comfort)?
Also, you mentioned the low driving position, but after about two weeks of driving, do you find you're getting used to it?

It's kind of scary, you have to be careful, when people shift their focus on you and taking a pic with their cell phone camera it's dangerous. They aren't focusing on the road, they speed up to catch up with you, slow down to watch you go by and give you a thumbs up. Valet guys expect more money from you and spend time answering questions like "how much does it cost, how fast does it go, how much horsepower, did your daddy buy this for you?" I usually answer with "I got a really good deal on it, it's pretty fast, I don't know like 500 horses, no my daddy didn't buy this for me"
The low seating position took some getting used to. Even though the front of the Gallardo is extremely short, you can't see where the front of the car ends and it drops off out of view after the windshield meets the dashboard. A couple of my friends have sat in the driver's seat and commented on how they can barely see over the dashboard.
I am used to it now but it does make me nervous pulling into my garage each and every time. The G does not have a very tight turning radius at all, I find myself doing 3 point turns in places I wouldn't have to worry about in my dd.
The only other complaint is instead of a backup camera (which is really cool and you can use it to check your blind spots while the car is in motion) is to have a parking sensor system. I had that on my 997 and I never worried about backing up into anything.
Otherwise I love it. I am still a giddy school girl whenever I go out to my garage. Even with the cover on it the car still gets me excited. Everyone should experience that emotion at some point in their life.

Thanks! I haven't taken it out longer than 45 minutes at a time. I plan on hitting the mountains tomorrow with another 6speeder and we'll do about 100 miles or so. I'll post my thoughts on it. The US spec seats are much more comfortable than the Euro spec ones from what I've read.
