According to "ASM-Holding", for seven months of 2009 the Volkswagen plant in Kaluga increased manufacture by 12.5% to 29144 cars. Analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" remark that the enlargement of the model line allowed the enterprise to show positive dynamics. So, since the beginning of this year the Kaluga Volkswagen has mastered the assembly of VW Touareg, Skoda Superb, VW Golf VI and VW Passat CC models. Also at the beginning of July the production of four models of the VW commercial vehicles - Transporter, Caddy, Caravelle and Multivan in Kaluga started. Thus, the total number of models produced in Kaluga reached 14, which is the greatest quantity among plants of foreign manufacturers in Russia. It was informed earlier that it is also supposed to produce Audi models in the long term at the Kaluga plant.
