Thanks for posting those stats because I was thinking the exact same thing.

Yeah, that 560 dyno's at about 490-500 at the wheels I believe in stock form. The SL and 08 G are substantially less than that.

If you guys pay for it I would take the Gallardo even the SL over the Z06. But given me being the one buying the car I would have to most likely settle for the slow POS that is the Z06.

Seriously no need to be snobs its a win for all enthusiasts that you can get supercar performance for a significant discount. My dream garage houses both a TT Gallardo and a TT Z06!

And why not own both , the Lambo for show and the Vette for go?

You guys do realize their is a guy on this forum that has ran his stock Z06 to 10.98 @ 128.9 stock down to the paper air filter?
He has the fastest stock time on DragTimes for a Z06 in the 1/4.

It's fast... so what? Drop a bunch of money into a Yugo and it'll be faster then other cars but it will still be a Yugo...

Question

That's some street race on a shaky cam, I immediately closed the video after 10 seconds.

You know that the small block V8 on the ZR1 has been built to well over 1000hp right?

How do you figure the Gallardo has more potential?

I thought the majority of the people on this forum were smart enough to not get in a pissing match about things that can't be proven over the internet.

That modded ZR1 TT Gallardo video was crazy. Too wickedly fast cars.

I have to say, as a former vette guy, I'd also prefer to save my pennies and opt for the Gallardo over the Z06.

After The Mile last weekend, I was highly disappointed that even a 800+rwhp TT C6 Z06 could not crack 200mph!

I know that it has a bit to do with the transmission gearing in the Z's, but still I came away disappointed.

Overall, the C6 Z06 is a great value, probably one of the best, but it needs work to be a true top performer.
