You may be fine with the cosmetic damage to the body. The problem will be the bent axle, suspension components, possible diff/trans damage, etc. A clean, low mile SL is probably worth $135k right now. This car takes at least $30k to fix in my opinion and after it is fixed, you need to be at least 20% under market for a clean car. That means you probably need to buy the car around $70k. That is just my two cents. Best of luck if you decide to go with it.

You cannot buy a used SL for 80-90K.

If Jason A says don't buy a salvaged exotic, then I'd heed his advice. He is the man when it comes to buying and selling these things.

Like was said, if the insurance company didn't feel it was worth it to repair it correctly then there is more damage than you can see. I know on many cars with carbon/aluminum chassis, sometimes like in the case of my Lotus it can't be repaired, you must buy a new tub if it's tweaked or damaged.

They can be repaired and you can drive them and enjoy them for a long time but just be careful. $101k? Noooooo way.

if it's a cheap fix, why would it be salvaged? insurance company salvage cars that cost more than 50% of the value of car. Given a typical SL is around 150k, you are looking at at least $75k of repairs. then you will still have a salvaged title.

honda's with salvage title may be easier to sale. not lambo.

Good luck if you go for it!

But saving a salvage Lambo is God's work!!!
