Anyone know something about this Superleggera?
Hello all,
I have recently found a nice salvaged Superleggera for sale and I want to buy the car and repair it for myself. The problem is that the damage in the pics looks very minor but there is always the possibility of some very serious stuff. So I thought I would ask here maybe somebody knows anything more about this car and the damage on it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Ive seen at least one guy with a salvaged Gallardo,
By the looks of the pics, the rear wheel looks like its off the axle slightly.
In the end you only save like 20k, and Resale will be very tough.
Your call...and Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

how much are they selling it for, because you can get one used for like 80, 90. Also how much miles are on the car. If its going for 50, even 60 it may just be a great deal. Please take in consideration the year and miles, and upgrades, and since it is salvage did the previous owner know how to drive stick or was it tracked at all during its life.

If it is priced right and it can be repaired correctly and you want to enjoy it for the fraction of the cost...go for it..
Now a days with all the new tech on repairs and just snap in place replacement OEM parts...there are some good deals to be had..
Just a "wifes tale" and stegma attached to salvage titles..but you have to research real well...not all are worth it...but more and more are..

It really comes down to price. If buying OE parts, the bills are going to add up and up and up.
If you are fully mechanically capable, it may be doable. But in the end by the time you factor in labor and the decreased value due to salvages stigma, it seems like a losing scenario.
Good luck if you go for it!

Price? Also i brought my Porsche as a salvage title because of "theft recovery". Yeah you're going to loose money when it comes time to sell it, but hey as long as you are fine with it then all good!

go for it, just be sure to do your research and make sure its worth it.
Everyone saying you will take a hit on resale is right, but you have to consider that he won't really take a hit. YES, he will be selling it for less then the rest of the same year Gallardos are going for, but he also bought it for less. Soo...its all relative!!

I can almost guarantee you the frame is tweaked. Which means the motors going to have to come out, your going to have to wait weeks to months for a jig assembly, and for as much damage as you see there's probably 2x as much as you don't. If it was just cosmetic it wouldn't be a salvage. It's not worth it, for what you can buy a pristine one in this market, look into that.
