How good is the Gallardo?

It can happen just like it can on a F430, with everything crammed in the back the fuel lines are bunched near the engine, so if it springs a leak a fire is much more likely. For example my E55 had a tranny line leak if that happened and the line was over say the headers I most likely would have had it burn down, its just a problem facing mid engined cars. Just have the fuel lines checked with the PPI or by a dealer.

sound like this would be the perfect car for you, if you choose to drive it 1-3 times a month, because the attention you get, is a little too much from experiences that i know people have gone through. When you have a car like that, remember you cant do the regular things you use to because everyones watching, if you go to donut donuts, to get some coffee people are looking at you like what the hell....My boy had the craving for Mc Donald's one day and people surrounded the car like it was a car show going on outside of the mc Donald's parking lot.......The newer lambo are a lot more service friendly then the old ones, ever since they were taken over by Audi, it became more of a car you can drive without overheating issues and shop headaches. Just my .02 cents, never owned one, test drove one, its a sweet ride though...hope it helps you out a little... P.S GO FOR IT!!!!!!

Drove the G plenty and currently have 997S PDK as a daily driver. I know it's not a turbo but except for the speed they look similar. The G will grab lots of attention and is a no brainer for a 2-3 drive per month car.

The G is a great car and is a ton of fun. I've had a few small issues with ABS break sensors going bad that create Egear issues but other than that I love the car. I recently bought a Porsche 997 C2S PDK as a DD and it is much easier to DD just because the back seats give you a bit more space and no body notices the car while you are driving. Other than the attention and the mateniance costs the G can be daily driven. I put 10,000 miles on mine this year and its one of 4 cars so as you can tell i love driving. Unfortuntely it cost about 10k in mateniance to do so but thats just part of driving an exotic I guess

I have owed a gallardo, lp640, and slr mclaren and in my opinion the gallardo is a very good daily driver.. I put over 16k miles on mine before it was sold and the only things that needed to be replaced were the clutch and a few oil changes.. and mine was an 04 so the new ones will be alot better

I have had two 997 TT's, one stick, one Tip as well as two G's. An 05 coupe and my 06 Spyder. As everyone states you will go un-noticed in the Porsche, it is more comfortable in my opinion and is much cheaper to run as a DD.
But whilst it is a Supercar it is just not an Exotic as the G is in my mind. The G would be ideal for the type of use you describe and is pretty much how I use mine. I liked the coupe but just felt the spyder was a little more versatile for where I live.
You will not be dissapointed by either, but if you buy the Porsche you may just wish you had gone for the Gallardo, a feeling I don't think you will have if you get a lambo.
BTW I may be selling the Spyder soon. PM me if you are interested.
