07 Gallardo - Unimpressed :(
I have been thinking of buying a Gallardo and so while I was in Vegas recently I rented one for the day. I have to say, I was really not impressed at all with the acceleration. The slowest of my cars, my SL63, could easily outrun this lam. The handling was really sweet though.
It was an 07 and it had 40k miles on it, and it was a rental, meaning everyone who ever drove probably put the pedal to the floor. Still though, I thought it was going to be a lot faster.

Yea, having driven 1400 whp+ cars I would agree...stock they are slow...after visiting UGR, not so much!
Another deceiving part of the G is that the gearing (atleast on my 05 6-speed) is tall...1st is good to 60, 2nd good to over 90...

if i owned a rental company i would put a throttle position limiter and speed limiter on it so inexperienced weekend warriors are less likely to screw it up.

This is kind of what I was thinking... I've had these on damn Hyundai Tiburons, much less a Lamborghini.

FWIW
I spoke with a guy who used to work in the exotic car rrental business and he said it was a scam in that these different companies all advertise the same cars. They all work off a pool of cars. And the cars get driven the cr@p out of them.
