A double clutch transmission typically has two gears engaged at any given time. When the driver makes a "shift" the TCU just disengages one clutch and engages the other. As far as I know the E-Gear trannies are not double clutch transmissions. Rather they are pneumatically controlled single clutch transmissions that has a "clutch" that is operated by the computers in the car. A twin disc clutch is used in those single clutch transmission that need the added clamping power.

Hello Kevin,
I would like to know if you are keeping the engine displacement 5.2L or stroke it while doing the engine? If yes, are you doing it by bigger diameter pistons or crank, or both? And if not, are you interested to do such a project?
What kind of compression ratio are you running?
I am very interested to know about these two. I'm thinking to build a LP 570-4 Superleggera in the very near future.
Thanks,
Salih
