I have a 2008 Gallardo Spyder that did not come with books. I ordered them but in the mean time I have a question.

What does the switch next to the lights switch do? It looks like a fog lamp switch but doesn't seem to activate anything on my car. Is this a dummy switch?

Good question! I have the books but I didn't look for that! Maybe tomorrow I will look for it.

 

I've been on a search for my future Gallardo, and I wonder what a lot of those buttons are:

1) The ones below the heated seats button...I've seen one of them with something on it, but not the opposite side?

2) The buttons right in front of the e gear or manual....looks like there are 4? Most of the time, I see them blank. Spyder top switch?

 

I'm guessing at this:

The far right button is usually for the front lift.
To the left of that is the rear view camera button.

I don't know what the first 2 buttons on the left side of the outside mirror control are.

 

Light switch does nothing in US models. It is strictly for European models that require the rear fog lights.

 

Buttons next to rear view mirror switch are for lift system after 2005 and for the top control on Spyder's. If you don't have a Spyder and you have a 2004, the plate is blank.

 

Thank you. I imagined I was pressing this on and off and in an alternate universe some guy was in his Gallardo saying "What the hell is wrong with my lights!".
