Has anybody switched from a 996TT to a Gallardo? How do you like the G in comparison? I'm interested in your thoughts?

I recently bought an 06 Gallardo coupe (stick). It's pretty impressive.

I went from a 993TT- Gallardo

The Gallardo is a large step up on every level from the TT,as it should be.

Well I went from a highly modded C4S to a Murcielago. Obviously, no comparison.

I've only driven my G for a couple hundred miles, but my first impressions are that the steering is heavier feeling than the P car, and being so low, the outward visibility is not nearly as good. It also feels like a heavy car, even though it is at least 200lbs lighter than a 996TT. But it does pull strongly, and has a nice low pitched roar. Mine is an '06, which I understand has different shocks & suspension bits. It rides very smoothly, yet does not roll in corners.

Of course, it's not as stealthy as a 911!

As long as you don't lower your G it's a great daily driver.

I did. Not a great DD in my opinion, but I guess you could do it. The visiblity is pretty bad, and it's a ***** to get in and out of driveways with. It gets a LOT more attention, sounds MUCH better, and seems to handle a bit better. I'd say that it's almost a draw except for the rockstar factor. I like that, and it absolutely kills the turbo in that category. I see several Porsches a day, but I rarely see Lambos of any type.
