2006 Gallardo vs. 2004

I saw 2 Gallardos at the track yesterday. Both were just stock cars. One was 2004 and the other was 2006. The sound and the power of the 2006 was so intoxicating and so much better than the 2004. It laps 4s faster than 2004 with both drivers were novice. These cars surpringly impressive at the track. I am hooked on the new model and want to know why the two cars are so different.I thought they both have the same engine specs.

gearing on '05 and up G's is much lower
exhaust was changed for '06...deeper note
My '04 G was the best sounding car I have ever had by far but then again I was catless...sounding like an F1 car
Also my G was the best handling "out of the box" car I have ever owned
I have just completed installation of a full Porsche motorsport GT RS suspension on my GT2 that still needs fine turning so we will see

I actually had to slow down my GT2 and stay behind the 06 Gallardo on the track just to enjoy its exhaust sound. No P-car even come close to that sound. Simply insane. I am still hearing it after two days.

vipertestarossa,

I was a big fan of your old Turbo. It was a very, very tastefully modded car. You have great taste bud.

I look forward to seeing some pics of your extensively modified GT2 in the near future. I am sure it will be better than the Turbo.

Thank you.
