I would say that most on this board are from all of the US, but there tends to be more in SoCal.

Do you own a Gallardo?

I am debatting on wheter to get a 04 G E-gear or a 996 GT3RS, I drove both cars and the RS was a beast while the G was like an Audi S8 on steroids..

However, I didn't push the G hard at all because of heavy rain, are my first and short impressions of it correct?

Are there any problems with theese cars? Anything to concider?

I will link to my full post below!

Thank you for your time!

well you are talking apples to oranges. the RS is a thorobread of a drivers car, no doubt about it. it's no where near as beautiful as a g.
an 04 plus E gear is a double whammy. i would never buy an egear especially the 04 version, it is a hit and miss like the 996 and it's rms leaks. the 04 has a weaker clutch and taller gears. if you can lean towards an 06 but if it's just out of range than push for a 6 speed 04 G. you're asking a question that only you can answer. if your like hamann7 or metalsolid they are guys that love the way a car drives and its racing heritage then the rs is the car for you, but if you want a car that is just stunning in looks and has great over all performance than the G is the one. if you ask me i say go for an 04 6speed G. it's got enough performance and power to have a great time in. as i don't spend that much time in the canyons or on the the track and i don't sit around analizing how i can cut 1 second off my next track day.

i have a 06 G and i love it.

i just read through your post. get the G. your not an RS type of guy, you are hooked on horsepower but who isn't. you'll always search for more power and when you get more you'll want even more.

Don,

Thank you! Excellent post, I think you are correct

But why is the e-gear so much worse than the 6-speed? Don't get me wrong, I want a 6-speed but they are damn hard to find here in Sweden

Thanks for mentioning this. For a few days now I have thought I was an idiot who couldn't remember my password. At least now I know it is down.
