I think they are better off with Audi then when they were on their own, per say.
The quality has stepped up a huge notch, and as it was said they are producing more cars then before, that will have an effect with resale.
If there are more cars out there of course the price will reflect that scenario.
Over all though they made the cars within reach to customer who didnt want to spend $300k for a Lambo and gave us the Gallardo, same thing Bentley did with the Continental GT to some degree. Except that Bentley attract a whole new audience of customers.

its simple. production went up A LOT! resale value suffers greatly, but i think they are easily a better produced car. who really buys a car for resale value anyway. its about having fun in the car and enjoying it. if you want to buy a car as an investment for resale value, but a ferrari.

To think that 15 years ago I could of bought a 70 Challenger with a hemi, all numbers matching for a measley $45k. Nowadays, I dont even want to say how much they are going for, thats how mad I am at myself.

WAAAAY BETTER. Let's not even speak of the huge improvement in build quality. Take a look at the consoles... all Audi. If there were one of the few takeovers that ended in success... the Audi/Lamborghini deal would be one of them. Audi gets a high end sports car to test bed (ala Gallardo --->R8) and Lamborghini gets Audi's superior parts bin and mixes that in with some good old craftsmanship. Lamborghini has had the best year ever. And there are more Lambos being driven consistently than Ferraris. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a stallion-fan but the bull is very persuasive simply b/c it can be driven! isn't that what a car is about?

I'd say from a company valuation, they've certainly gone up due to the increased production and better quality control.
From a purist/soul standpoint, not so much. Used to be that Lamborghini represented the craziest of the crazy with things like the Countach and Diablo. They were loud, fast, hard to drive, and unapologetic of each.
These days with AWD, flappy paddles and Audi blinkenlights, that image has been subdued quite a bit from what it once was. Now it's "just another" great looking exotic that any hollywood twit can wrap around a phone pole. Without the racing history that Ferrari and Porsche enjoy, I wonder what the company will look like in ten or twenty years time.
Then again, maybe Lambo will crank out a stripped down, RWD, turbo Gallardo with a real gearbox to make people like me happy. I won't really care who makes the dash switches then.

I agree with simba while while I love the Murci it is rather tamed down. I'm hoping that with the new success of the brand they will be able to give us an ultimate lambo that is stripped down and raw like the GT3. It must have the scissor doors though, a lambo isn't a lambo without them...
