There's a Gallardo in my neighborhood that's a daily driver. I know because I hear it pass by every morning and evening that I'm home.

I have't had the opportunity to meet this particular neighbor but if and when I do I plan to ask him about it.

After a neighbor of mine growing up daily drove a Delorean (sp?) for a few years i swear that ANY car can be a DD if you really want it to be!

well I think I have a good handle on it. Im keeping my S4 so its not going to be my only car. Im just one of those people that doesnt like to have a beater. When I walk out to the garage, I always want to drive the nicer car sitting there.

Good thread. It's getting me thinking of a G as a DD. If the resale on a G is poor, then it might make sense to get a used G.

The Gallardo is highly driveable for daily use, and maintenance is pretty cheap as well from what i have seen.

As most of you know, i passed on one. It is without a doubt awesome looking and sounds amazing with exhaust, BUT it just wasnt that "special" feeling to me and way to docile, but thats me and i still respect them!

ive seen the 7500 mile service quoted anywhere between $400 and $1000 depending on what all you get done

Its not an Audi of course i ve two Audi's it is really different than Audi.

Compare to Porsche (as an ex 996C4S owner) i would say Porsche is really pure daily drive car.

IMO Gallardo is not really daily drive car especially when you are high traffic. Dunno about manuel but e-gear is not a driver friendly in high traffic.

Also depends on where you are living , for example the roads are bumpy and there is a lot traffic in Istanbul.

But for rainy days i dont have any complains about traction or anything else. the car has really good stability at high speeds.

I have some engine problems with my car but i really love Gallardo to drive it and when it is fixed i will drive it with a great pleasure again. And if i would like to change my Gallardo i would go again a Gallardo or LP

It's not titled as an Audi,it's not badged as an Audi it doesn't look, sound, cost, handle, brake or garner attention like an Audi. Yet you continue to call it an Audi.
Maybe the rest of the world is wrong??

Anything can be driven daily. It just depends on ones tolerance level and preference.

Good thread.

I'd like to pick up a Gallardo in a year or so, but I'd like to use it as an "almost" daily driver - meaning to and from work, out to eat, etc.

Im busy for the next 4 weeks. I have a feeling its going to come down to the Gallardo or the Ford Gt. I really really dont want to spend 175k+ on a 06 though.
