thanks for the kind words.
what ISN'T shown in the video, is right at the end of that run, there was a huge bunch of cops that had set up a virtual road block at the tollgate! that was a nasty surprise for all of us!
these early morning highspeed runs have been growing in frequency over the last few months. there's at least three other groups of supercar owners that have been doing this with increasing regularity (we all know each other and are friends, but tend to do our own drives according to different schedules).
seems the cops have finally gotten irritated at all the tomfoolery and that morning, decided to take action. two other groups besides ours were stopped. it was actually kind of funny because on the return leg, i spied one of the other groups speeding down the road we'd just been on, heading straight into the trap that had been set.
the driver of the murcie was hoping to see 330kmh on the speedo, but there was a lone slow moving car that made him back off the throttle ever so slightly. and the really straight and clear run would have been on the parallel lane back into town. as mentioned however, the cops put an end to that.
as you could tell from the vid, the road is virtually straight, there are no intersections, and early in the morning, there's really almost no one else on the road, and other cars are well sighted. the camera cars that went on ahead also served as "spotters", and were in contact with Lambo via bluetooth.
