I noticed that some Gs have the brake light right above the rear window and a fixed spoiler and then some have an integrated brake light in a movable(?) spoiler. Are they due to diff MYs and if so, what belongs to what? Thanks.

 

Yes, it is due to different model years. I can't seem to find what year though. I know for sure the '04 and '06 are different, but not sure which belongs to what model year, or what the MY is when the change was made.

 

If memory serves, the change was made in MY06; I believe MY04 and MY05 cars are indentical in terms of the brake light location. The brake light is located on the back of the roofline (above the rear window) for MY04/05 cars.

Ya, I'm aware of your G. Was admiring that thread days ago and still haven't managed to wipe all the drool yet.

So is there a rearview cam on yours? I guess that bump on Gil's spoiler is the cam?

 

Yes, I believe his G does have the rear camera option. Mine does not; I believe that was a new option introduced starting in MY06. It's a pretty cool feature...and I would imagine quite useful, given how limited the view out the back is...
