Gallardo ownership costs

Let me clarify. Partnership in an airplane (small siingle engine that I would fly myself.) Condo at ski resort (not aspen or tahoe or the super big names). I could afford a 140k car, but I'm not at the level of "If you have to ask then you can't afford it." If that makes any sence.

Hello Raj.
Getting nailed by the regulars from the peanut gallery I see.
I would say don't do it. Get the 911. The Gallardo is much better than previous Lambo's. After all it was build by Audi. But 2004 is the technically the least reliable yr. 2006 has improved software, upgrades etc which make it more reliable. However, you are looking at $160k+ for 2006 MY. Btw, check with you insurance before you get the sticker shock of $100k cars. The Lambo and Ferrari are in a whole different league.

What league is that? I pay about the same on insurance for my G Spyder as I do for my Benz G55.

Lamborghini's version of paddle shift (e-gear) is more likely to hurt the clutch because it has a tendency to ride the clutch if you're not very deliberate in your application of gas. You really need to push the accelerator down a decent amount to get the clutch to fully engage, so if you're in stop and go traffic and try to push it just a little bit to move up, it's going to ride the clutch the whole way.

Thanks Ritesh,
I will probably end up going 911 and then buying in on an airplane, and a ski resort property then unless i get a nice return on a real estate deal me and a buddy are working on. I'm not up to the 160k level yet, and am probably jumping the gun. I just got this big infusion of cash and it's burning a frigging hole in my pocket.

How long until "I'm rich" turns into "I need to sell my Lamborghini, it's not currently registered or insured and it's parked outside my apartment so I feel a little bit at risk of it being vandalized".
