So i've been looking for a new car and the IS-F is on my list. How much are 2009 or new 2010 models going for? AND is it the same size as the regular IS because i've sat in one of those before and there really is no leg room!

You can get a fully loaded ISF (sticker $63k) for about $59k. To load out an M3 the same way you'll be around $75k or more. I would put the cash in my pocket, get a car with more TQ that's more suited to daily driving conditions, with Toyota quality and reliability and call it a day. Just my 0.02

As for rear seat leg room, yes, the ISF is small and the M3 does in fact have more leg room......

i have considered the M3 but that thing is just wayyyyy too much money when you start adding options. But on the other hand the IS-F comes almost fully loaded. If i saw correctly there isnt a lot of leg room cause those IS-F driver/passenger seats are fairly bulky right?

There just isn't much legroom in the rear period....you can however fit 2 adults back there without problem.

Incorrect. If you're talking about value, the ISF is a much better value all around. The M3 is considerably more expensive when optioned out.

When 8,200 RPM's is just too much work go for the F........reliability, no gas guzzler, bulletproof slushbox, awesome brakes, gobs of torque and finally a nice aftermarket of intakes, exhausts, lips etc.

Like said earlier you couldnt touch a M3 equipped the same way for $75k+ where the ISF is below $60k new. Value for sure goes to the lexus. ISF is way more driver friendly but if you are a track junkie the Lexus for its first try at a M3 competitor suspension wise is still lacking. Lexus just cant compare there.....yet

I sell BMW and the M3 equipped like your car si NOT 75k. Low 70's yes but not 75k for a sedan. Does the ISF have adjustable suspension? I cant remember. I like the ISF a lot more than I thought I would but what I prefer about the M3 is the fact I can get a real transmission (manual) and its more raw and the sterring really is a big difference IMO. The M3 feels more athletic and mroe track worthy but you have to like that sort of thing and not everyone does which I understand. If someone bought the ISF over the M3 I cnat blame them thought as it really is a great car. I think for the money it WAY better than an S5/S4. The S5 which I thought was going to be great driving was not. Its a GT car whereas the M3 and ISF are better sports sedans. I dont like automatic but the 8 speed auto in the ISF was one of the best auto boxed I have EVER driven.

To the OP you cant go arong either way and good luck with whatever you choose. If you have an questions about the M3 please PM as I am in sales and would be glad to help. Also my waor email is rguercio@flemington.com feel free to email me as well.

Good input on the M3 vs IS-F. One thing to note, Lexus hit it out of the park with their first attempt with the 8 speed transmission (now more cars are fallowing suit for improved fuel economy) whereas BMW with its rich racing heritage had to recall thousands of DCT M3's for engine stalling

LOL ok 2k-3k short of 75k still a 10k-13k price advantage for the lexus. I agree with you about the manual trans and agree about the better suited suspension for the track. Lexus still has a bit more research to do in that area.
I have said this before in other threads but 98% of the time when you jump in either car its not on the track. I honestly disagree with you about the 8 speed auto box in the ISF. I feel it should have been a 7sp but you cant beat 26-28mpg on the highway with it which is what I got coming back home with it on the interstate cruising at 80mph.
I agree cant go wrong with either and in todays market you are blessed to have a choice between the 2. BTW a 2010 is a bit different than the previous 08,09 models. The main differences are newly designed wheels and real LSD

Nice ride, build quality is not in the same league as the BMW or Lexus. Be prepared to spend alot on rear tires as it eats them like gas (lol and is the most thirsty out of all 4). Buy a used one if possible because AMG's depreciate like crazy the frst year. If buying new you should be able to get a great deal especially on 09's. I think out of the 4 cars (audi RS4, ISF,M3, C63) the Benz responds to mods the best if that means anything to you.
