Why is Lexus NOT on recall list?
Why was LEXUS exempt from the gas pedal recall list? Did Toyota Corp. forget the family that died (few mos. ago) was driving a Lexus.
And we all know, the problem was not from the floormat.

perhaps because the issue was dealer installed improper floor mats?
#3
Or maybe their owners understand what neutral and brakes can do for a car?
#4
Because Toyota is not Lexus and Lexus isn't Toyota!
-just sayin

You are blessed with ignorance - only a few are given that special gift from above...be very thankful you are one of the few.
So when your Lexus gas pedal get stuck (due to floormat issue) and you hit a tree at 100+mph (with your family on board), I'll make sure to tell your love ones not to sue Toyota, because you said it here, not me..."Toyota is not Lexus and Lexus isn't Toyota."

This has got to be one of the lamest posts on this entire website. The Lexus recall is being handled currently. 1st the ES series and next the IS series. There is a flash update for the computer where if the brake and gas are depressed at the same time the brake will override the throttle and also new floormats and shorter pedals. This should address the known issues. Can we move on now?

You know that is a very good question!!!!

As for the lexus recall, it is on the floormats. And yes, floormats can get stuck due to user or install error. That is true for any manufacturer. The car that was in the accident in San Diego had all weather rubber floor mats (from a different model) on top of the regular carpet mats. It think that would jam the gas pedal, don't you think? Do some real research before just regurgitating what you've heard from the biased media please.... It really is unfortunate what happened to that family nonetheless.

The first recall:

The Second:

They also may recall the lexus hybrids due to a sofware bug as they call it. Ford is also going to bring in all the hybrids to update the software.
