Must have options for the Macan

Must have options for the Macan
What do you guys believe are must have options? Is the air suspension worth getting over regular PASM? Or should that money be spent on PTV?
Anyone have experience with Bose in a cayenne? I know the Bose had complaints in the 911, but perhaps it's different in this larger platform?
Now that sport chrono doesn't have dynamic engine mounts, is it still worth getting?
Is PCM's only advantage navigation?
This is coming from someone with a 991 911 S, so I can use that when I want to be sporty. Car will mainly be used for pure DD. Trying to configure a Macan S for $60-65, and so far I have adaptive sport seats, PASM, RS Wheels, carbon fiber package, Bose, and a few other items.
Thanks for your help!

As for the air suspension vs PASM, I think that requires a test drive (yeah, baby!) I had the air suspension in my '04 CTT and loved it.
For a DD, I'd skip the PTV as well as Sport Chrono.
The Bose in the CTT was nothing special. As in the 991, I'd say go Burmester or base.
I won't opine on PCM until I see a car in person and can see the entire set of control interfaces.

That being said I priced a Macan S and built one for around $66,000 that fit my needs.

I'm going with steel suspension on the Macan. Air Suspension are great, but they are hella costly to replace when out of warranty, and all the cars that I had with air suspension had problems with them, the latest including my Panamera, which was luckily covered by warranty.
Otherwise, our Macan is going to be quite plain. Probably only getting the PASM, Sport Chrono,Pano roof, and full leather.

You are witnessing the reason why Porsche is the the most profitable car company % wise. If you add up the endless list of available options you can almost double the price of the base car (I didn't add them all up but you get the idea).

I guess I am the sucker that they were looking for. When I think of it, if I am going to spend this much why not get it exactly how I want it.

One other thought, which I posted somewhere else on 6Speed earlier in the year. Go for the Lane Change Assist (LCA). I had it on my Audi, and after taking about a month to trust it, it became indispensable. I miss it on my 991.

However, the Lane keep assist (that stupid thing that keeps the car between the lines) is the worst invention ever!! I've had it on two cars now as part of a package (Audi & BMW) and I absolutely HATE it. It's always switched off in my car.

Totally agree! One of the best safety features you can get, together with the adaptive cruise control.

Seriously! That would make all the difference in the world for an SUV. Probably a marketing strategy, and will be introduced during the Macan refresh?

When I asked my dealer about it he felt that it would be an added option shortly. Told me I wasn't the first person to inquire about it.
