Garnet Red Interior...!???
Anyone know if this 'Garnet Red' is lighter, darker, brighter, or more of a maroon/wine kinda red? I would love to see a side by side pic of Garnet Red & Carrera Red. It would be a huge disappointment if someone ordered it and it wasn't the shade of red they expected it to be. I know I'd be super pissed if it was more of a darker, maroon type red that's found on BMW M3's and IMO doesn't look good. On the other hand, if it were a lighter, brighter shade of red found on the Benz C63, now we're talking!!! Here are a cpl pics... lets hope its more like the BENZ red than the BMW because I REALLY want the Red Interior with White Exterior..

In the configurator, garnet red looks darker than the carrera red of the cayenne. However, the carrera red of the panarema also looked different than the cayenne's.
I would expect garnet to be darker than carrera. But that is just my guess.

I agree with you. I did the side by side comparison & thought the exact same thing. Thats why I posted this thread. I think its going to be darker & look more like the M3 red in the pic above I wish there configurator would be at least somewhat similar.. but its always totally off. Hopefully the dealer will have a sample piece of leather before I order it. Do you know if they will give me Carrera Red if I request it?? (and pay for it!) ???
Here are a few pics.. NOT photoshopped of course!

Garnet red = Carrera Red for Porsche.
In Germany, Porsche has for some unknown reason changed the name of "Carrerarot" to "Granatrot" and this gets translated to "Garnet red".
It's exactly the same as Carrera red.
Real Garnet red looks completely different, darker and in some light almost brown. But trust me... Porsche's garnet red is Carrera red....

Suzy-- I don't get why they just wouldn't put Carrera Red on the site then.. Strange! There must be something else to it. Dealer just emailed me and said that the 2.0 Macan is Delayed another 8 months The first deliveries were supposed to be in Nov/Dec (To Canada anyway) but as of TODAY, Porsche has released a 'revision' on the 2.0 by an additional 8 months. So im starting not to give a crap about this any more! Sigh...

The base Macan was always planned for first deliveries in 2015. I never anything else to be honest. That's what my dealer told me some 6 weeks back.
We'll fly back to Switzerland tonight (still in the U.S.), so in the upcoming week I'll visit my dealer and ask if they something more now regarding the Macan.

Might be a little different since you're in Switz. Here in Canada we were supposed to get the first ones in late November, early December (The 2.0 Macan). Just TODAY we got news that there is a revision and it will be another 8 months.. so literally mid/end of 2015 for the 2.0. Anyway, I'll just order the 'S'.. White /Red

Suzy,
Question for you if you don't mind. It looks like Porsche finally updated the configurator removing the alcantara option. On the difference between partial leather seats and partial leather seats with leather interior, what does the upgrade include in terms of additon leather?
