GTS macan is sweet!
Personally, I think the handling gap between the Cayenne GTS and all other versions is significant. It's odd that the most expensive version isn't the sportiest - but that's one of the reasons I love Porsche as a company. Just like the 911 turbo is for the "premium" (older & wealthier) customer but the GT3/RS is the track scalpel.
But with the Macan the chassis is a hoot in any version I assume. Its a small vehicle with a very low COG for an SUV. So I wonder if the gap from an S to a GTS is as pronounced as it is on the Cayenne.

P.S. I tried to use the word: c r a c k e r in my post and the computer replaced it with asterisks - ???? as in *******jack or fire*******. Anyone want to come over for some cheese and *******s?

Not sure about full details on the GTS but I had my Turbo order slowed down last fall to get (at extra cost of course) most of what you get with the GTS (Sport design body parts, mirrors, Sport Exhaust, 21" wheels etc.) Now hoping for equivalent Turbo S Macan.

Switch my 16 turbo order to 17 GTS. The 2017 adds optional LED lights and apple car play. Porsche also says steering responses have been sharpened across the range as it’s fine-tuned the Macan’s electric steering.

The GTS looks nice but I highly doubt people buy CUVs to track.
And I highly doubt the average drive will notice a difference in handling between the S, GTS and Turbo. What they will notice is the Turbo's sheer extra horsepower.
99.9% Macan owners will drive their CUVs to the grocery store, coffee shops, to work and stop/go traffic. Just sayin'

I agree with the above. Would be cool to understand EXACTLY what is added to the Macan S to make the GTS and if that would be more expensive or cheaper. I just like all the added features like the wheels etc on the GTS.
We are getting the wife one in 2017 and she only gets the S (no need for the Turbo) but the GTS has all the "looks" she likes.

Not sure I would trade a turbo for a GTS, just get a turbo with AS. Since I will never track mine, I like the extra HP when it's needed. With the S, you get smaller brakes were this will suffer, I have seen some good lap times but generally only a couple as the brakes give out, and that's on the turbo.

For me it's all about the driving feel or I'd still be driving 911 turbo over my GT4. I predict this Macan GTS will have the best balance of all weather usability and drivers car type vehicle. The GTS seems to be one of the first 2017 Macans. If I like it very much and feel lacking in power, I may trade in for a Turbo S a year later if they offer the same sports tuned suspension.

here is a good review that answers questions about the extra's and why with the GTS ride, one might take it over a turbo. my only complaint - still no PDCC.
