Saw a Granturismo yesterday

The Granturismo is a great car, we owned one for about 4 months that was white w/blue inteiror and white stiching, really nice car, I got a chance to drive it a few times and i have to say that it didnt seem underpowered to me. We got rid of ours because we purchased another car but we are on the list for the granturismo s. honestly, it is a true 4 seater, during those 4 months that we had ours my drove it every day, he had no problems and thought it wasnt underpowered either, it only feels underpowered depending on how you drive. IMO The looks of the car and the handling make up for any loss of power, its truely an awesome car!!! we drove it to chicago in the begining of spring and had 2 adults in front and me and my little brother in back, (keep in mind my brother is no taller than me and he is 13) I was as comfortable as I would be when sitting in the back of my moms gx470, you can really take this car and take some of your friends out with you on a night out on the town. Its a great daily driver, we had no problems with ours, just some minor wear and tear isues, like oil change etc.... but A word of advice, if you want to go into the car wash with the granturismo and you have the 20" birdcage wheels, DONT EVEN TRY IT!! We learned the hard way, for some reason they dont fit right into the car wash guide tracks and scratch the lip and center of the rim. We had to replace every single wheel on that car. Get the 19" wheels and you should be happy.

Damn is the Granturismo one hot looking car...I saw a red one yesterday in my town...I could be very tempted to sell the 911 for one of these!
As it is the 911 is becoming my DD...that damn Cobra beast of mine has ruined me for soft GT cars!! If I'm going to drive a soft car...why not one as damn sexy as that Maserati!

The guy that owns the red Maserati also owns an F50, Enzo, Bugatti, and some other wild cars. He's the owner of Hyotec (sp?.. the place on Route 17). The car is beautiful, I got a chance to drive on momentarily and liked it but just didn't do it for me as far as the whole package goes. The 997TT is a completely different and more pleasurable animal.

Before you consider the switch much further, walk into at least 2 of the dealer service areas and count the ones for repairs. An 'acquaintance' says the car was built around the joke: you need two, one to drive to the dealership to pick up the one they just fixed.
His complaint is there's always some-little-thing that isn't right, and no easy, in and out fix. I drove it, and as posted earlier, it's a wonderful, sumptuous, experience, but it doesn't have the Ummmph or braking the 997 Turbo has. If I was to switch, I'd have to go Aston Martin DBS over the GT - that's jfficeffice" /><O>ust my 3 cents on the topic. </O>

On paper and most pictures the of Quattroporte and the Grandturismo look good HOWEVER you need a full on 360 view to really appreciate the design, they look gorgeous in person. They pretty much Ferrari GT's.

I saw it in person and sat in it at the AM Ferrari Mas dealership in Atlanta, looks amazing. It even looked good in burgundy on Entourage last night, but then again, they make all the cars look good on that show

Not sure of the Maser's price but doubt it's even close to a new DB9. That would be 430 territory, no?
