997ttt is infamous around these parts
got mine coming in next week!!
grigio alfieri with bordeau interior
Granturismo S (only about 300 to be sold in US and 2009 suppose to be the only year of production)
144k sticker price!!
I test drove for 2 days. Put on 300 miles. Car is amazing. Not as powerful as a 997tt but definitely much more fun to drive. My 997tt with fabspeed exhaust does not even come close to comparing to the exhaust on this Maserati. No comparison.
I still like my 997tt. But, I just have to have the Maserati.
will post pics.
Interior is much much more luxurious and impressive than my 997tt.

interior feels cheap... lets be honest... and the steering needs a little weight and tighter...

Mercedes dealer here has one for sale 1500 miles for $89k. Red. It looks alright. I'm not a huge fan of sharp lines on a sports car but it still seems nice. At the current price, there are many other cars that interest me more.

I still haven't forgetten about that car...I'm going to look at one in a few weeks...

It seems to be boiling down to a DB9, ContiGT or one of these...never in my life did I think I would type that sentence...

I was the last person I thought would want an mgt. I was so dead set on buying an aston that I really dismissed the mgt all together...thats until I drove it. You have to remember, this thing is a true gt car...and thats what I wanted. I came from and audi s8 and wanted the same feel but with two doors and a little more sex appeal. I thought the aston was going to be it, but every one I drove had this or that that always made me think twice (other than the brand new 09 that was selling for like 140k...not happening for a city daily driver). My porsche dealer had one for sale and I asked to take it out because the few times I ever saw one (like 2 previously) I actually stopped in my tracks to check the car out. Short of the really long, because of how solid it was and how intuitive the electronics and control systems are to use, how sexy the damn thing is (NEVER have I had a car that people love the design of soooooo much...even more than that of the r8). And the interior is spot on perfect...

Reliability-wise, its pretty good. Small things have happened with nearly EVERY car I have ever owned...this is no different. Nothing major at all though.

Hey 6gang,

With a wife, a 7 year old daughter and a dog... the Aston does not seem to be the right vehicle for me anymore. Most of my trips and short runs are by myself because of the fact that it has only 2 seats. It is a nice car, but not a family car at all. The wife is always on my case and instead of losing the family I will unfortunatelly have to lose the car and go for an 08 MGT. Not sure if you owned an Aston V8V before or if you drove one so you could compare the two, but being a Porsche GT3 owner I would assume that your expectations are very high. If you are happy with your Maserati I guess I will be happy with it too

ps: check out this article...

^^^ I drove both the 07 and 09 aston v8 vantages. As far as "fun factor" the aston takes it any day of the week. Its way more visceral and involving than the maser. That said, if we are comparing cars for the fun factor alone, then something like a porsche gt3 (any year imho) kills the aston. Thats where the maser comes in. Its definitely NOT a sports car...its not even trying in the LEAST bit. Think about it as the sexiest gt this side of the dbs (which is 3x the cost of a used gt). I have NEVER HAD A CAR GET MORE ooohhs and ahhhs then my gt. The car has more than enough go for these legally bound roads, has an incredibly usable infotainment system with an INCREDIBLE sound system (as far as the 11 speaker bose goes). On top of all of that, it feels incredibly solid and well put together. Any other questions let me know.
