Auction Prices for 2009 QP S 4.7?
Can anyone do me a favor and look up what prices the 2009 Maser Quattroporte S (4.7 engine) are going for at the auctions?
I want to upgrade ASAP but waiting to grab one at the $80K~ range.
Thanks

There is an 09 S on OVE in the same color combo as your current car

hi guys,
can someone who has access please report back auction prices on 2009 QP GTS (specifically GTS)
I'm just a few months away from picking one up and wondering where the prices are at now

I always ask this, but I think I'll ask again anyways... What's with the interest in Manheim prices on exotic cars whenever someone is car shopping on a forum?
For exotic and higher-end cars, Manheim is a more often than not a dumping ground for the less than desirable cars that are otherwise difficult to move for a dealer. The prices are not a fair reflection of what needs to be paid to acquire a car in the condition a 6Speeder would want . I understand that everyone wants to "get a deal" and feel like they're "in the know", but Manheim results won't really help you get a good price on a great car. The market report is supposed to tell dealers what they can expect to receive if they have no choice but to run a car at the auction. It is not indicative of what a top-level example should bring. There are never enough details on the market report to properly assess a car... It will only tell you exterior color, miles and price paid. It doesn't account for lack or options, odd interior colors, wear and tear, tire condition, service history, undiagnosed problems, minor paint work, etc. To rectify some or any of these "issues" could cost several thousand dollars. There are just too many unknowns and the prices become meaningless. Michael Sheehan wrote a great article recently about a 360 Spider bought at auction... Seemed like a great deal at first, based on the mileage (which is all you have to go by on the market report). Twenty-some thousand dollars later and the car still isn't right... That car is on the market report, artificially reflecting a "market price"
My advice to anyone buying a pre-owned high end car from either a dealer, or a private seller - see the car in person and have the car inspected at a reputable/authorized shop. Consider any and all existing issues and get it for the largest discount you can from the asking price.
* Sorry for the rant. I didn't mean to direct this at you Fantasma. It is meant to be constructive and insightful.
