it works well if u have solid color like black, yellow, red etc. not so good on metallic color. it's not magic & it's the same as rubbing compound.

haha i just like to try anything i can put my hands on & still can't keep up. btw, i have 2 gallons of RejeX if u want to try it. i didn't like it.

for silver i think u can mix silver & a little bit of white so it's lighter than the actual silver. after touch it up u can use langka or rubbing compound on top of it. reason is i found after u buff it the touched-up area would be a few shades darker than the actual paint (depends on how the metallic sits though). i tried & worked well.

thanks arling, but to start mixing paints.... i have a feeling my car is going to look like a high school kid with acne! there are things i am good at, but i think i should leave this to the professionals!

do you recommend any place for this?

by the way, i finally found time to take my car back for the rattle. yes, i have brought up the "rattle" issue again. if it doesn't get fixed, i am going to sell it back to them!!

thanks.

langka works great. not sure if i'd compare it to rubbing compound...but it does do what it's advertised to.

No... not the same as rubbing compound. It has absolutely no abrasives at all. What you do is overbuild the paint in layers and within 24 hours, wrap a thin cotton cloth around a flat object like a credit card and rub until flush. It works on the principle that paint needs to cure for a certain amount of time. Anything older than 24-48 hours is completely unaffected by Langka, and anything "fresh" kind of wipes off like if you used paint thinner or laquer thinner. Arling is right though, it works well with solid colors because metallic touch up paints even from the dealership are always way off. You can get a body shop to mix up a perfect match though.
