Good day my dear readers

Some of you maybe already know that Mercedes officially announced that in the beginning of 2009 the new FACELIFTED S class models will be on market.

But this is not the point, I'm thinking which engine to peak. I live in a 4 season country, when we have hot summer and very cold winter, and I mean cold and snowy! Sometimes its -35c, which is very cold. For hot summer period I have SL 55 AMG which I bought new 5 months ago. For now my Winter and daily drive car is Cayenne Turbo, which is not bad actually, but I was always a big fan of S class, and even have one W220 S 500 L.

Which engine. For daily drive and for snow and winter S500L 4-matic is the right choice, but we have already so many S500 and S500 4-matics driving around, and I want to have something special. S600, its a good engine, but 600 in 20 years is to serious as i think. My dealer tells me to pick one and only S 63 AMG L version. I thing that he is right, its a sporty and comfort car, with lots of interior good looking details. But if Im not taking 4-matic, I can take CL 63 AMG!!!

Please owners of S63 and CL63 AMG's, suggest what to do, what to pick?
What are the bonuses of each car and minuses? CL is CL and S class is S class. Suggest, suggest and suggest. I really do need your help and not stupid words such as "take both of them, or why to you need Merc, buy Audi etc".

Dont post pics of my cars...Cant give you an explination but I have owned alot of cars including recently a 997TT, GT3, Full Size Range and a CTT...this is the best compromise betwn a sports car and a luxury car.

 

Is it your only car, do you have full size sedan?

 

Dont go for an S500 why dont you try to be reasonable with yourself and get a S350 it is plenty enough and still can be ordered in the Large format and honestly if you want to feel special just peek in the SL55 and enjoy it.

My father has an S350 and its very very comfortable not slow or fast but the good thing you can get it in 4 matic, Its better, more economic, cheaper and still has the amenities you would want in an S-class correct me if I am wrong ?

Think about this decision well, If the CTT is more than enought for a Winter car and you dont "NEED" a new S-clas then saving that money or investing it is a better choice.

 

Ok... Think about it in this way... I live in the country when car is very important, and every one think about it as your status! S63 AMG is a clear statment that IM RICH... I know its silly, but what to do... we live in material world! I personally dont care that much about the power, but I do care a lot about status! My family owns Aston Martin DB9, Bentley, BMW760Li, G55AMG, C55AMG, SL55AMG, Cayenne Turbo, S500L... and this is all only for 4 people. S350 doesnt sound good in this list.

I need a suggestion... which is better CL or S class 63 AMG or 600?!!!!

Pavel, thank you for the explination S600 is more in your face and has the status you need and your quiet right the 350 doesnt fit in the family's car lineup.

 

Thank you! But I undestand that you look at it totaly different, and i respect it. I like the way yo think about cars more then mine own thinking! But in here, if you had S500 and then you buy S350 people will point at you and say "oh... deal are going not in the same good way, hahah", I know it rediculous!

My choice drops on S63 for now. Unfortunatly no one in the forum want to share with me, their own opinions regarding 600 or 63 and CL or S class.

No problem, I am here to help. S63 isnt bad either, If I had a S600 I would kill most sports cars with an Ecu reflash due to the V12 twin turbo its easy to push the car upto S65 AMG Hp levels and substantial torque.

In city its allowed 50 km per hour, I was driving 90km and they stoped me and took my driving licence for 3 month and 700 euro ticket. !

I cant comment on the cop's over here, they are Barbarian dimwitt's, honestly I just lied to a cop about my aftermarket exhaust's on the Cayenne and he beleived it as he was about to give me a fine and believed it was a special order from the factory.

They now added Bullbar's to the Police car's over here so that they can stop folks and the fastest car they have are Dodge Charger V8's and 5 Series BMW's.
