im surprised you guys are shocked by this. I see fake poser AMGs everyday. from S500 AMG to C320 AMG. so lame. but its funny, one time i was at a light and this A4 pulls next to me and the guy goes "nice Z4 that M badge doesnt add any horsepower bro." i ignore him and launched w/ a lotta smoke and noise. i could see his jaw hanging open in my rearview.

I wonder if the front fenders say "V12 Bi-Turbo" or some other AMG fender badging. That would be the finishing touch!

 

it reminds me a guy who was driving a 02 clk 55 (one of those old models) and actually put a amg badge in the back, it was funny as hell.

 

Hold on there sparky, they did make a 2002 CLK55 and it came with the AMG badge from the factory. No supercharger but the same 5.5L normally aspirated V8 that they use in the C55. Unless your friend rebadged the CLK55 part, that's the real deal.

 

Ok as an AMG owner i find this retarded. I debate taking my badges off cause I feel like an a$$hole, and this guy needs the attention so bad he puts them on? Are you kidding me? Nobody gives a $hit if you drive a 550 or a 55 or a 600 or 65. Why would you even give a **** about anyone who values you based on the car you drive? I know this argument is old but I'm just sick of stupid people this morning.

 

My dad had the old clk 55 coupe and cabrio, they are legit.

 

it's common in Asia, especially in Hong Kong or Taiwan, so dont even bother caring about this, there's just too many ppl out there that do the same thing... haha
