I've also noticed certain magazines rated certain brands faster????
As an AMG C63 owner, I am not upset about this one.
I have not taken it to the strip, but I've heard that there is a local guy who ran 12.3@116 at either E-town or ATCO in his.

Curio,
I've owned a Renntech car and a Kleemann car. They do not "underrate" their HP claims they actually overrate their claims, especially Kleemann. I've yet to see a dyno that proves over 550 HP on a 63 engine. Until I do I'm very skeptical. Simple bolt ons are not going to increase HP by 100 (from 460 to 560) unless the bolt on is some sort of FI which will require some significant changes.
You mention 580 HP M5's which is possible. This is a 70 HP gain over stock and I've still never seen these gains confirmed on a dyno or at a drag strip. Plus, there's also a big difference between a 70 HP gain and a 100+ HP gain.
I modify everything and have the "bug" big time. I've learned that most tuners have one thing in common, exagerrated HP claims.
Regardless, the C63 is going to be one awesome machine!

The 63 engines are great engines but are not mod friendly. I've seen 550 HP claims from Renntech and Brabus but no proof at the track or on the dyno yet. I'm skeptical until I see proof.
You will not see a 63 engine making over 450 whp with simple bolt ons. FI is an entirely different story.

Just to add... the one C&D tested and ran through the traps at 116 at 3600+ pounds and that can equate anywhere around 425 to 430 to the wheels. Trap speeds don't lie.
I have caught what a few C63s are putting down and I would think 450 to the wheels would easily be reached with a few mods/ecu, especially showing what the Es have done.
What's the drive train loss in the Cs because 480 to the wheels is putting them very close to 550 I would think.
Just my two cents!
Cheers,
Allen
