Don't shoot me if this is a re-post or there is a story behind this, but it appears silversurfer's CLK DTM is up for sale!? Are these guys selling it on consignment for you?

Only found this because a friend was going to take a look at an SL55 they have.

He said that was his favorite car a few days ago I doubt he really wants to sell but if someone hits him with that price them I'm sure he would unload. I love the car but at that price I'll be getting something else a bit crazier...

are you serious!? i would have never guessed that that car is worth that much... you could have an SLR, LP640, or an even crazier car for that amount of money. dont get me wrong, im sure that it is an amazing car, but i would much rather buy a different car with that amount of money.

I agree the price is a bit steep... I'd be upset if I spent that sort of paper and my car could not be distinguished from any other housewifes clk at the supermarket. However, we have to keep in mind that only 100 units were produced and it does yield 582 ponies.

From what I hear there are only (12) Legal DTMs in the US, so that price is actually a good deal... its a solid collectors car for an enthusiast.

From what I've heard, 582 hp is actually a fairly modest estimate. Although it costs more than an SLR or a Murci, it's both rarer and faster than an Enzo so I'd say it's a bargain at $575K.
