New SL Photos

Hmmm... The new grill is hideous, and the headlights leave something to be desired. I thought I misread and it was an SLK. Maybe if I see one in person it will grow on me, but for now, it just doesnt do it.

I'm sorry but that grill is just bulbous and hideous!!! The lights are a disaster too and the new front end doesn't match with the rest of the car.
It's obvious that Mercedes-Benz only changed the SL for those retarded European Safety Regulations because they didn't change the metal on the car at all!!!
I hope it looks better in person because the SL's circa 2007 looked stunning.

I think it looks very nice and fresh in comparison to the 2003-2006 model which now seems to look slightly dated. When I first looked at it it has some styling elements from the face lift SLK, Passionate sl owners might feel Mercedes have cheapened the look but I really like it.
Non-sport package kit SL,
SL63 AMG
After the initial leak of the backside of the newly redesigned SL series, a low resolution SL 65 AMG was circulating the internet, now come the leaked images of the regular SL. The Mercedes SL class had its last update only in 2006, four years after its initial launch.
Motorpasion was first to discover images of the facelifted Mercedes SL 350, but Dutch Autoblog took it upon themselves to scour the net for more. Resulting in the small, low res photo album attached to this article. The front end looks sportier and cleaner with its single chrome bar centered in the grille, new headlamps and hood lines. The rear light cluster hasn't changed much, but the lower part of the rear bumper has gone through some redesigning.
Stay tuned for the official release by Mercedes for in detail information

Made it more like an SLK is right, not a fan

Interior picutes:
Now does any one think the steering wheel looks out of shape and pretty cheap in comparison to a wider Steering wheel that is available on the SL and CLK's.
I also find the new airscarf headrests to look like Helmets, honestly they do look like pillows and are bulky looking.

Just look at the side profile, very sexy yet muscular car
2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class images, a total of twelve photos have now leaked online ahead of the car's official debut. The car pictured is a regular SL 350 model with the AMG body kit. Although somewhat similar in appearance, the regular SL is visually different from the SL 63 depicted in a previous leaked photo.
The biggest change to the SL line are the CLS-style headlamps to complement the new bumper and grille. Meanwhile, the taillights have been augmented with LEDs and a refined shape.
The next-generation SL range will include two AMG models: the SL 65 and SL63. The SL 65 will feature Mercedes' twin-turbo V12 — producing 612 horsepower — while the SL 63 uses a 6.3L V8 with 525 horsepower.
For the AMG cars, the refresh appears to includes a new rear diffuser, quad exhaust outlets, and a small decklid spoiler. The SL 65 is also expected to feature new 19 inch wheels
