its a gorgeous car. buy what you want but be smart about it. do your research and look at a number of cars. you could alway buy a less expensive car and save your money for other things. its up to you

Thanks
Following cars would consider/look at:
BMW 335i/xi
Audi S4
Infiniti G-sedan (don't know the number right now)
Acura TL
Jeep SRT-8

I personally think that Mercedes are more for the older crowd. Get something quick and sporty while your you and save the professional look for when you have a good job.

Buy something safe, you'll thank it if you decide to be stupid and crash it. Not implying that you will

Mercedes is fine. It's just a different kind of car. I wouldn't say it's an old person's car, it's just a calm car. Some cars are edgy and sporty like an M3, which is slapping you around all the time. The Merc is more like it's cradling you.

I just picked up the new C300 and it's fantastic for a daily. I'm really impressed with the step up Mercedes made in the new C. Leaps and bounds ahead of the old one.

at least the new C class looks more sporty and aggresive than the older models.

Don't worry about it, if you like then get it. I see a lot of kids driving Audi A4's which is the same price range. People don't think about Audi's being quite as expensive as MBs, but they are. Personally, a modded A4 is a better choice. That or a 2003-2005 S4. You can get a used S4 in those years for like 25 grand in pristine condition, and its an amazing car.

I was driving a C when I was that age as well, a W202 C230 Kompressor. Good car for the age I suppose, although I would suggest getting something standard, learn young

Excellent point, but I think the ML is kind of a "mom" car so go for the ML, or for the real panty dropper get the G55.
