SL550 ECU Flash

SL550 ECU Flash
Saturday I picked up an 09 SL550 to replace my wife's SL550 Anniversary Edition whose lease expires next week. On Friday I picked up my 997 Turbo from having a GIAC ECU flash and I can't believe how much better the car runs. I had previously added an AWE exhaust. On the Porsche it is highly recommended to do the exhaust if doing the flash. After seeing the difference in the Porsche, I am interested in doing a flash on the Benz. I know GIAC does not have a flash for the Benz and I am wondering who does? Also, if flashing the Benz, is it recommended to change the exhaust also?

Try reseting your adadptive transmission first:
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
For N/A cars, you won't feel as much of a difference as s/c or turboed, but you will experience quicker shift and more responsive throttle.
If that isn't enough, unplug the battery overnight. That'll do it...but also resets all of your settings. Have fun.

Do you have any stock vs your ECU tune dyno results?
