Staggered wheels on a S550 4Matic ???
I want to run staggered 22's on a S550 4Matic, but was advised not to due to messing up the differentials on the 4Matic. Is there any truth to this?
With 60% of the power still going to the rear, I figure that a wider tire will provide more traction? Or is safety an issue ? Besides, I ran a staggered setup on my former 996TT without any hiccups...
Would like to get a few more opinions before I install the wheels. Thanks.

I just posted this on the Audi list:
I know Porsche does a staggered set up; perhaps the tire sizes compensate?
The way I understand it; b/c of the AWD system staggered wheels/tires will spin at a different RPM thus putting undue stress on the drive train (front wheels/tires spinning at a different rate than the rears) where wheels/tires of the same size all theoretically spin at the same RPM. I guess you could size the tires in such a way that they are the same size front to back but it might look kinda silly b/c of the sidewall required to get them the same height?
I heard that Lambo will actually void a warranty if they see a car with a staggered setup.
