Should I really buy a 09 C63?

Whats the problem with people on here not knowing what they are talking about. You guys are missing the point. The Veyron was not around back in 1998? It started in 2005. When I was doing things. You are really missing the point here. But i am used to that. I have been doing this for a long time now.

All I have to say is Race logic and put street slicks on. I never had a problem passing that mark and other high powered vehicles/1000-1400cc Motorcycles.

Back to topic, if you get a C63, I would strongly advise you to make sure you get the limited slip differential option. I bought a used C63 without the lsd. Why MB made a 450hp sport sedan without a lsd standard is beyond my comprehension. The car is great fun but lights up the inside tire on corner exit. I'm thinking seriously about getting a Quaife installed.

Just came back from the dealership, and I have to admit, I too was one of the MB nay-sayers. The C63 pretty much scratched out the IS-F and M3 for me, and with suspension tuning and re-mapping, will more than easily outperform the cars in it's class. The handling was very responsive as we were going up a hill, and as we climbed, the car did not let up. I had a Porsche tag up and chase me, but I still got a shocked smile from the driver. It really is a beast, and now that no Chrysler parts are used on MB's, I am very open to the idea of actually owning one right now. I wonder if the lack of Chrysler parts may help the car's resale value???

the 2009 C63 brand new has an MSRP of $56,300 on MBUSA website - add about $11K for the option pkgs so perhaps $67K...2008 C63's on cars.com with 3000-11,000 miles are 'listed' for $52K - $60K depending on options (what these cars sell for is another story - and Ebay prices seem more inflated for most specialty cars). Anyways, so 2008 C63's tally to about a 20% first year depreciation...seems about right...they probably will not fall as hard as the higher dollar AMG's - but will fall nonetheless. If you are worried about value get an IS-F...I was a nay-sayer before I drove it...it is a powerful machine if you can get used to the looks. both cars run about 113-114 in the quarter mile...i'm looking for an 06 E55 for low $30K - shouldnt be too hard!!! wouldve hated to have thrown down the $80-$90K new for that!!! 115 quarter mile!!! woo-hoo!!!

If you are looking for a used C63, Daytona Beach Mercedes has a black one. Interesting history in that M-B had to replace the engine ($32K is what I heard), and the dealer took back the car to give the owner a new, identical car. There is no mileage on the used car's engine. If you are interested, they have a web site, and you may want to talk to Lee Grasso. I also know the previous owner and can give you his name and number.

yeah im also interested as to why it was replaced?
i too would like to get a C63, but have to wait till the lease on my current car goes up in about year. would it be better to lease or buy a c63 due to its resale value?

All I know so far is that it was toast. The dealership guys weren't too talkative, so when I run into the former owner, I'll ask him. Regardless, I'm still a little surprised that he got a new car, not the one with the replacement engine. I know nothing about the financial arrangements., either.

I have not looked into the 2009 C63's however I did own a 2009 CLK63 Black Series and bought it brand new for $112,000 which was a great deal at the time and put 1,300 miles on the car and was able to sell for $99,000 so was not to bad but everyone is def right when they say not the best investments around....

well I caved and bought a C63. I couldn't pass up the deal even though I wanted another E63. Just couldn't find the right one. I will say this, I love the C63 and am much happier with it then I was the E63. Seats are better and the car is much faster. Sounds amazing too. Only thing the car is missing is keyless go which will be offered for 2010. But with the deals you can get now days on the C63, I do believe your better off than buying an E63.
