True - but M cars "tend" to hold their values better than AMGs. AMGs depreciate like a lead balloon - and the higher they started, the faster they fall (or so it seems).

My brother is purchasing a car this week and has narrowed his choices to c-63 and a vert. M3.(he loves the hardtop).. He is kinda in a time crunch, and we all know thats not the way to buy a car. Anyway he found a C-63 in Houston (his home) with 250 miles for $59k, from what Im reading thats not much under invoice. Dont you think he could do better???

 

People are getting brand new C63 AMGs for $14,500 off the stick which is a hell of a deal for that car.

i got a brand new 09 C63 for 14k off. so 53k plus tax.

 

I started this thread...just an update, I went with a 996 turbo...seems to be the right choice now looking at what folks are paying for C63. It was $5k off MSRP back in March.

I do understand 09 model is losing its new car tag very soon vs. 5 months ago...but still, this is insane. If I hold out a bit more, will I have any chance of getting one $20k off? If that's the case, I'm getting rid of my wife's 330i. She and I actually still miss the C63...

 

thats hard to say (the 20k part). rumor has the 7500 mercedes trunk money disappearing the end of Aug. but who knows. plus i hear 09 inventory took a huge hit the past two months because of the 7500 dollars back to dealers. i dont have any insider who can pull the inventory at this time. someone on this board maybe able to do that for you.

if it was me and i missed my C63, i would find one you wanted and offer the dealer about 16k below sticker and see what they do. all they can do is turn you down. you know you should at least be able to get 14 - 14.5 off so you have more knowledge than probably 85 percent of AMG buyers.

 

I got around $25K off my new CLS63 with 030 package, black/black. I could of bought some stocks but I think the way the economy is going cars that depreciate a lot are still a better investment then stocks

 

the bmw m3 was developed to beat the 190E Evo on the DTM wich means the most famous BMW is a cheap copy of MBZ the C63 is a good decition.

 

All I know is that the C63 is one of the most fun cars to drive, car sounds so evil and has soo much F**KIN power. I think there are some good deals to be had now days and people should really start to take advantage.

Plus MHP has a package that pushes the power rating in excess of 500+, you can't beat that.
