Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner for worst possible bodywork add-ons. Ever.
What's next, the spare tire mounted on the exterior on the back of the trunk? How about a landau roof? Maybe wire wheel covers too?

It's ugly, but these guys don't play around when it comes to body mods serving a purpose. I'm willing to bet it had some serious wind-tunnel testing behind it. Still ugly, but it does have an evil look to it.

Well, many people use rear wheel covers to achieve less wind turbulence when achieving super high speeds (200+ mph).
Being that Brabus is well known for doing top speed testing, I would say the body work is QUITE functional (although VERY ugly). I think I understand where they are coming from, but they could go back to the drawing board and make the designs look much better, not just function well.
The front half of the car doesn't look too bad. I will refrain from commenting on the rear, as everyone else in this thread has already spoken for me.

Maybe if the rear wheel covers were clear it would be OK.
