My SL55 just got a facelift...

It's not that extensive: New headlights, new fenders, new hood and new rear bumper. That's pretty much it.
Also the 5.5 s/c engine is way more powerful than the 6.2 engine of the SL 63.
I thought about getting a SL63 for a while. But after an intense testdrive I was disappointed by its performance in the low revs. So decided to stick to my SL55.
It was a little tricky to get the 5.5 AMG badge in the modern design though.

@all the peole who PMed me:
The conversion is around 20k USD. You can save some money, if you do not go for original parts, but I wouldn't recommend it (Keep resale value in mind!).
About the electronic: You will need to rewire the plugs for the headlamps and for the mirror. I don't have any experience with the distronic, since my car doesn't have distronic.
Also the PDC (park distance sensors) cause a little bit of work. You cannot use the new MY09 sensors, since they do not work with the older electronics. Thus you will have to make the old sensors fit the new bumper. It's not too difficult to do this, if you remove the old brackets from the old bumper, you can use the brackets on the new bumper (that's the way I did it). The diameter of the PDC-sensors matches the diameter of the new sensors.
AFAIK, there's no complete list of parts. This also has to do with the fact that depending on your car, you might need different parts. I ordered a conversion set from a German company. They made a package of the parts required, offering them at a good price (all parts are original Mercedes Benz / AMG). However there were a lot of tiny parts missing, which I then ordered directly through my local MB dealer.
This all may sound somewhat tricky, but once you've started the conversion, all issues clear up pretty fast.
Well planned, the whole conversion shouldn't take much longer than 1-2 weeks and every good body shop should be able to get the job done.

Nicely done!!
We've recently done a SL55 >> SL 63 AMG Black series!
Will post the pics tomorrow.
We're now completely building the kit for the conversion. It takes a frontbumper, hood, fenders, sideskirts and a rear bumper to do the conversion. Of course also the headlights have to be changed, we're working on getting a plug for the changed wiring, so it will make it plug and play
The whole kit will be done in a few months, if anyone is interested don't hesitate to send me a PM.

It also takes new underbody-panels and wheelhouse panels... and tons of other small pieces.
