C63 Let the mods begin

Picked up the C63. When it stops raining I'll post pics. Mild mods I have in mind:
1. ECU reprogramming. Are these plug and play chips or does the ECU have to be flashed. Will a dealer know if its been flashed or chip even if returned to stock programming.
2. Suspension. I know there are plenty of aftermarket kits, but I like the stealth stock look (as does my Service advisor for warranty issuess). Is the ROW strut and spring set lower and were might it be available.
3. The nav system is awesome except for 2 things. On MY 2009 the Ipod menu does not display on the 7" led screen. It displays in the speedo screen and needs to be controlled by the steering wheel buttons. On MY 2010 the entire ipod menu can be displayed on the 7 led and controlled with the console ****. Does anyone know if a dealer can update the software to change this. It's also nice to have a DVD player in the front except for at 3mph the screen goes dark. I know the MBZ won't change this, but are there any indepent car audio shops that know how to do this.

Congrats man! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the C63!!

We recently had a C63 in the shop. We flashed the ECU with EVOMSit software and added BMC replacement filters in place of the crappy stock ones. The software is good for 60hp! Believe me when I tell you, the before/after difference was VERY noticeable after we flashed the ECU.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like some more info.

If you are in San Diego with a C63 you might want to stop by. We are a #1 Mercedes tuner in town and we have been doing a lot of Kleemann and Renntech setups for our clients lately.

We also do all the ECU flashing in-house. This means there is no need to send your ECU out to a tuner and it takes about an hour to do the tune for you.

These guys do very good work, I recently got my C63 Kleemanized K2 by James and the power is awesome. I forgot to mention that the Kleeman Hi-flow cats woke up the car and the sound is BEASTLY.

Great car and congrats! I almost purchased a C63 two years ago but I couldn't look past avg. 12 mpg!

Definitely get your car reflashed, open up the intake and run a catless or race cat exhaust set up and your car will run mid 11's at 120 mph

Definetly get the ECU done, C63s pick up a lot of power from a flash. Reason is that they are limitied by the throttle plates not opening close to 100%, which is where the difference in power ratings comes from between C63 and all the other AMG 63s. Once you flash it, you pick up everything missing and a little more.

As far as I know MHP has the fastest C63s around. However if it were my car I would take it to Kleemann or Evosport.
