Mercedes Tint Question
I just picked up a new DD, clk500. I tinted it with a light mirrored tint like Mercedes is using for the newer cars.
I really liked the looks, until I started to black everything on the car out. Now I'm thinking about black tint and a black roof instead of the mirrored look. You tell me.

Not blunt at all, I appreciate your opinion. That's why it's posted. It does look kinda "boy racer" but I don't know if it's ricey. I'm not venturing into the fake carbon fiber or tuner decals just yet.
I hate silver. I mean I really hate silver. It is among my least favorite color in a car. White is easy, black is easy, Candy orange was easy, but this silver is hard to make look good.
When I bought it, the wheels were beat up, I refinished them myself and didn't like the silver because I had 3 different colors of silver on the same car (wheels, tint, and paint). It looked bad and I think the contrast of different shades was worse than the contrast of a completely different color. The black was a pretty big improvement for the wheels.
The tint I'm torn about. I still dont think I like the harshness of two colors of silver and think the darker windows breaks it up some.
Like I said though, this is just a daily driver to replace the most boring daily driver made- the camry hybrid. The toys are still my true passion and I don't need to do anything to this car to keep it as a practical beater.

That's how I felt too, but the overwhelming response has been "I love the new tint."
I'm glad I'm not totally losing it... Thanks for the responses

What's up Max!
In my opinion, Black it out like i did on my C63, Just like how you seen my car today. Just don't do the windshield like i did. If you don't want to go to too dark, I'd say do 15% or 20% Tint. I've been called Crazy because i tinted my windshield so dark. But i like it.

BLACK TINT for me! My son has darker tint on the rear window, then gradually gets lighter on the rear doors ... then lighter again on the front doors ... nothing on the windsheld.
I'm not a fan of the black wheels. Too much contrast versus the rest of the car, and literally no definition on the wheels.
