2010 E63 - ESP/ABS failure No speedo HELP!

6speed, i have a slight problem..well my father does on his 2010 E63. It only has 5-6k miles.

We recently purchased Sottozero Serie II winter tires to swap on for the winter. They are the same dimension upfront and the back EXCEPT instead of the rear being the stock 285/35/18 we purchased 285/40/18.

Right after the tires were swapped on, all sorts of failures came up. ESP and ABS are only some of the problems i can remember off the top of my head.

Please help.

Anyone care to chime in?

update: mercedes said that it might be because the height of the tire is increased. so it threw the whole computer off (all pre safes, etc.)

I don't think that increasing your tire from a 35 to 40 series would cause all of those failures. Try reseting the your TMPS settings though just to see if that sorts it out. Plenty of people go up and down with different tire sizes without issues. My stock C63 had 255/40/18 in the rear and I went with 265/35/19 when I got my 19" style V's and never had an issue. I would check all the wires under the car and around the control arms, maybe whoever put your tires on crimped a wire somewhere with a jack?

yeah i would just take it in to the dealer and not tell them about the tires...they will just fix it since its warranty. and the middle number of tires is just the sidewall....35-40 isnt that big of a deal...people change wheels all the time too and put bigger ones so id just take it in....why worry about it
