Hi all, When I was searching for my R63 two years or so ago I haphazardly started a list of those cars that were contenders. Even after I purchased my R I continued to look (I guess to see what kind of deal I got). So I started to record with a little more consistency some basic information (as seen on the attachment). I kind of stopped last summer since I thought I had captured the lion's share of the R's that were in the states and According to some posts I've read there were only about 33 out of 80 or so sent to the US anyway. (I am still curious to see how many there really are)
Anyways I figure I'd share what I compiled with my friends here in case someone is searching now for an R63 or a current owner is just as curious as I am.
I've included only the last several numbers of the VIN (I have a few more preceding digits and letters) since I am not sure if I'd be exposing some sort of privy information.
The attachment shows better than the pasted pdf below since the info is in columnar fashion and you can discern where I did not have info. Hopefully it's useful and serves someone some kind of purpose.

Those R63s are rare!!!! I looked for one but ultimately I bought an E55 wagon which is rare but not as rare as the R63. Good choice.

Thanks! By the way, how many R63 owners are you in touch with? I'd like to do gauge interest on a group buy for a carbon fiber diffuser- the same one that I saw on youtube on a Belgian R63.
(I don't have any info on that diffuser and can't get in touch with the owner so it'd be a matter of having a shop custom fabricating it).

 

I'm going to revisit the list this week, its been awhile since i last checked. I'll update & see if i could attach an xl file instead of pdf.

Thank you for the list. I am very interested in buying one of these unique vehicles and have had no luck on cars.com and autotrader. Do you know of any R63s which are currently for sale? DO you have other websites that you frequent looking for leads?

The one I just purchased was on cars.com and autotrader for roughly two months. At the end of March there were two for sale, the one I got and another single owner high mileage (94,xxx) available. Currently both are sold and there aren't any more on the market.

What I did when I was looking for mine was search eBay, cars.com, autotrader, and cars.yahoo. Another good place to start are forums such as MBWorld and BenzWorld where there are a few members with R63s and maybe they can tell you when they plan on selling their car or if they know of one for sale. Good luck with your search.

 

I did the same thing as xxgeneric...

Took about 3 months - first month search and learning value, second month dipping in with low offers, third month I knew where right price was...

I updated list last week and as expected really nothing was added. There are supposedly only about 80 of these ever made.

A few more R63s have been sold. There's a Barolo Red one sold to a member on MBworld and another Majestic Black one on the East Coast sold in a matter of days. A silver one will be for sale in Canada shortly.

 

I have a 2007 Mercedes R63 for sale. It has 54k miles and I've got it priced at $43,950. Silver on black, rear DVD and heated seats.

 

I don't see it on your website.
How did you acquire the vehicle?
