I do it. I'm a master certified mercedes technician. Any dealer CAN do it but some do not apparently.

Yes car is set at a certain level. It will stay there unless reprogrammed again.

93 R1,
.
"master certified mercedes technician"
.
if i remember correctly, that is a big deal.. congrats..
you should have never told me, now i will be bugging you all the time..
.
correct me if i am wrong... stock, from the factory..
assuming that the raise height (curbs and driveways) buttons aren't used.
.
1. static: the car is at it's highest level which it goes to when turned off.

2. car running, in gear: lowers to a "drive" height

3. car at 75 MPH (?) automatically is lowered to lowest factory setting ride height.
.
so in other words, my dealer (hopefully) can reprogram the car to #3 above, lowest ride height setting and the car will stay there all the time, when static and driven slowly, and driven over 75mph.. ??

thanks,

JR

1. No. The car is at the lowest setting when in normal mode. Its the base setting the other settings go off of. When turned off the car will stay at whatever setting you last had it at.

2. car only lowers when asked to do so, by pushing button.

3. at around 75 the car does lower on its own. I believe around 10mm or so from the base setting.

When the dealer reprograms the control unit they change the base setting. The car will still raise when the button is pushed, and will still lower at around 75 mph.
