SL55 or SL600?

However, please re-read my post: My point was that the SL 55 is a great cruiser _and_ great on sophisticated racing tracks. The SL 65 (or a mod'd SL 600) might be faster in straight line racing, but the SL 65 is around 10 seconds slower on the Nuerburgring than the SL 55 (obviously mod'd SL 600 cars were not tested).
The car on that pic is not a SL 65, but a SL 600 with a "V12 biturbo badge" (which is okay with me for as long as he didn't put a SL 65 AMG badge on the rear).

I wasn't making any references to you personally, you have an MB and as far as I'm concerned whether you drive an A180 or SLR, a Mercedes fan is a Mercedes fan, and hopefully you can appreciate all of the areas Mercedes excels in. The fact we both have SLs means that great minds must think alike.
Yes, I do have the V12 BiTurbo badge, but no, I have the factory SL600 badging in the back. The 600 has too much of an old man/slow V12 perception here so I think having the V12 BiTurbo badge (which is an accurate badge) helps put the car in a more appropriate light. It's not for everyone, but I think it's appropriate.

If I had an SL 600 I would put the V12 BiTurbo badge on there too. When I still had my 996 Turbo I even considered putting a custom made bi-turbo badge on the rear, since the "turbo" badge does not really tell what's inside.
P.S.: That was a serious comment. I think it was even on this board, where I asked whether someone could create a custom bi-turbo badge for my old 996 TT.
