Finally got my HID Fog lights installed

It was a straight forward DIY had modify the bulb and housing a little bit. Other than that is was an easy install.

Do you have any information about where you got the kit?

Ebay they sell a bunch of the HID's. Make sure to buy the conversion kit and not just the bulb. Conversion kit comes with the ballast and all the necessary hardware to install the unit. Unfortunately, the HID's started to flicker last night so I need to have the ecu reprogrammed so that it will recognize the HID kit. They said it takes about 10 mins to do.

If you need info for the HID's the headlights will take H7 I got the 6000K. The fog light will take H11 I got the 4300K. You don't want to go any higher than 6000K cus more than that the light will scatter. The effects of the HID's will be useless it will be bright but the light in front of the car will be weak. I use to have a 7500K on my other car I took it out the next day cus my stock was giving off better light at night.

I have a MB CLS500 and I bought my kit from www.carlabms.com

Great prices and it works with the factory wiring, it does not require you to bring the car to the dealer and modify the computer settings.

i installed aftermarket HID .after one month now it flicker...i asked porsche dealer.they says they dont deal anything after market.one thing they told me they say its because of the ballasts...its ok if it has right ballasts.
may i know if dealer really needs to reprogram the ECU...?
now i am going to install an other HID kit from other shop next week/..because porsche dealer didnt cover anything aftermarket..
