Anyone here has a 06/07 ML350 or ML500? I've heard a lot of people complain about the 7G transmission and the airmatic, etc. Anyone here has any problem with their ML? Also, do you know if the ML uses hydraulic brakes or the sensotronic brakes (e-brake)?

 

I never heard about problems on the 7G...quite one of the best transmissions!
Anyway I don't know about the brakes...sorry

 

i have 06 ml350 had it for a year no problems no airmatic tho but it is a very nice truck, much more improved over the last generation!

 

Mercedes ditched the senstronic brakes on all of its cars. The Airmatic on the older S classes was the only problematic one (chronic) and the 7g early models had a rough shift from 1st to 2nd and down into 1st. It was also picky with gear hunting etc...; however, they seemed to have worked that issue out.

 

My gf has an 06 ML500.... no problems with either Transmission or airmatic. Transmission is actually very smooth!
