SL500 without a doubt. SLK is too small and uncomfortable for a fairly large man.

Spend a little more and go for the SL55, which is both: Fun and a comfy ride.

I would vote for SLK55, but as everyone has said, it depends on your needs/desires from the car.

Hi Lig!

I really like the new SLK55 a lot... That said, the SL class (R230) looks to be a future classic. I think it'll age very well.

As for the "SLK is too small" argument, I'm a pretty big dude and I had 2 S2000s, so I'm biased, I guess.

:hello: Wy SLK55 FTW! My brother has an '04 SL500. AMG body bits - lowered - 20" HRE 549s. Absolutely beautiful - for a design that's been around for a little bit it still looks great. It's just not all that much fun to drive though.

Couldn't agree more. I remember when you asked me about my friends HREs for sale. Glad he ended up finding some.

If you are a smaller guy, 5'7" or less go for the SLK - my roomie was lookin at SLK's and we always categorize that car as a chick's ride.

The other day a group of us (mostly guys) were talkin cars and we made a list of cars that realistically only girls should drive - among them:

Audi TT, Mini Cooper, Beetle, SLK, Z3, Solstice, VW Cabriolet, and Lexus SC430.....

I know some of the above listed cars are fast and can be made to look aggressive but that is the minority for sure....

SL's are nice cars but if you ever take a walk around Rodeo Drive (Beverly Hills) my god we counted 28 of them in a 2 hour shopping spree! I don't care if you an SL500 or SL65, they all look the same from a distance so no thanks for me.
