It's called 63 (and not 62) to set it apart further from the 600 V12 engine and closer to the AMG 65 (which, by the way, is a 6.0 ltr engine).
Weird politics. In Germany the SL 550 is called SL 500 to not **** off the buyers of the "old" SL 500. The SL 350 has a 3.7 ltr engine. You really cannot look at the model numbers anymore to know the specs of an engine. It sucks...
