Aftermarket Ipod adapter for 2006 g55?

I want to get my best friend an ipod integrater for his g55 for chirsmas, but the dont have an OEM one for his g55, its a 2006.
Is there any aftermarket ones?
I heard there are issues since its diff electrical stuff

whatever you do... don't get the iTrip... one of the worst inventions of 2006.
